You must be able to render and assailant helpless without injuring him. Hapkido is a Korean Martial Art which combines elements of Taekwondo Aikido, Judo, Ju Jitsu and Kung Fu.

Reikijitsu is a revolutionary new martial art founded by Sensei Graham Slater, 6th Dan after 30 years of training and discovery in multiple styles of martial arts. Using the kata and kumite from Shotokai Karate as a base Slater borrowed elements from Shintaido, Aikido, Tai Chi, Shiatsu and Reiki to form a wholistic system that focused on both healing and the martial arts.

Shihan Garry Viccars was born in 1956 and began training in Kyokushin Karate in 1967 at the dojo of Bill Paauw in Little Ryrie St Geelong, That dojo produced some very high profile karate-ka including Brian Ellison, Mervyn Nelis (now head of Seido Karate in Australia) Brain Cole, Peter Volke, Mick Varker and Ritchie Saunders.

The Samurai were warriors who daily trained in arts of warfare. A skilled warrior would not just be good at killing people but was also considered to be a strategist, someone who could adapt and learn new skills. This is seen throughout Japanese history, when Japan was at peace and battles were no longer fought, Samurai would teach Martial Arts for personal cultivation and spiritual reasons.
